My aunt showed me how to knit months ago. I came home determined to practice every night so I wouldn't forget what she taught me. I never practiced and have completely forgotten how to start again.
I had to "relearn" crocheting like eight times. I still don't know how to start a project unless it's the same pattern I've been using recently. My mom has to show me every time i start something new. so lame. haha. i don't really know the stitch names so i can't pick up a pattern and go.
Don't worry. I can show you how sometime. Everything is committed to muscle memory. I learned from my Russian grandmother and her friend from the orphanage.
There are gazillions of places on the Internet for showing off things that have been completed. These places do a number on my self-esteem. So this is a site for showcasing the unfinished projects, the dust bunnies on my to-do list. It's not about celebrating mediocrity...it's about acknowledging good intentions. This is the opposite of a craft blog. This is Business Unfinished.
